Who was the big winner at the 2022 American Music Awards?
Ladies and gentlemen, Taylor Swift was the big winner of the evening. Swift went on to say, “You encouraged me, and so, I found that the more music I made and the more music I released, the happier I was, the more I kept this channel open and kept creating, kept doing things. And the more that happened, the more you were like yay, keep doing it, and the happier I was, so I have to thank the fans, basically, for my happiness, and I love you more than I can say.
Taylor concluded his speech by saying, “I can’t express how amazing it is to me that I can still do this and you still care, so thank you – underlined with 13 exclamation points. I do not know what to say. I love you.”

Dove Cameron won the New Artist of the Year award and dedicated it to the Queer community. Harry Styles took home the trophies for Favorite Male Pop Artist as well as Favorite Pop Song for As it was.
Machine Gun Kelly won Favorite Rock Artist. He attended the awards ceremony in a very pointed and spiky outfit. Brazilian singer Anitta received the award for Favorite Latin Female Artist. Morgan Wallen won Favorite Male Country Artist.
During the star-studded awards ceremony, the Just give me a reason hitmaker P!nk paid special tribute to the late Fat star Olivia Newton-John who died earlier this year in August. She sang the classic Fat ballad Hopelessly devoted to you during the awards ceremony, which also moved the crowd.
Along with her, Carrie Underwood, Imagine Dragons, Bebe Rexha and GloRilla also performed at the 2022 American Music Awards. One of the finest moments of the entire awards show was the heartfelt tribute to the singer-songwriter iconic, Lionel Richie. He received the Icon Award at the show.
