Beloved haunted house in North Vancouver returns tonight

After choosing to keep things outdoors last year, the Edgemont Haunt is making a strong comeback this year! This beloved North Vancouver haunted house has been delighting Halloween enthusiasts for years. And what’s more, it’s for a good cause! Here is the scoop.

Hosted by a husband and wife team from the neighborhood, amateur production is often anything but. Blending classic touches with ever-evolving functionality, the Edgemont Haunt lives up to some of the best professional haunted houses in town.

This year, the theme they have chosen is “It’s Only Make Believe”. And while details are scarce, hopefully we’ll see some seriously messed up things that collide overnight. Hell, one glance at their version of the “Tooth Fairy” is almost enough for us.

But, here is the real kicker. Rather than making people pay to get their money back, the creators of this haunted house are simply asking for donations to support the BC Professional Firefighters’ Burn Fund. So yes, you can be scared, but you can also support an organization that will put your money to good use. It’s a win-win in our books.

And on that note, we have to let you know that their greatest year ever was in 2019, when they managed to raise $ 11,125 for the Burn Fund. Of course, we want them to beat that target this year!
