Muni Long Reveals Jealous Boyfriend Was Why She Missed Opportunity To Collaborate With Drake In 2008

The Drake feature is one of the most coveted things in music. When Drake hops on a track, it normally skyrockets to the top of the charts and into the ears of fans. Rising star Muni Long reveals she passed it on, but because of a jealous boyfriend.

“This on[e] Once in 2008, I missed a Drake feature because my then-boyfriend found out he was shutting down at the studio and flew into a jealous rage,” Long Tik Tok wrote. “So I checked and stopped responding to his text messages.”

Hopefully Drake and Muni Long can do it right in 2022 or beyond.

Although she missed Drake in 2008, Muni Long found success and her single “Hrs and Hrs” was officially certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), officially selling 500,000 equivalent units. According to RnB rated, the single is Long’s first RIAA certification. The single was found on his Public Displays of Affection EP.

Muni Long’s “Hrs and Hrs” is now available on Amazon Music in a brand new Amazon Original version. The multi-hyphenated singer-songwriter performs the song with a full backing band in the newly revamped version of the song. Amazon released a never-before-seen video of Muni Long and his band performing the new version of the song on a downtown Los Angeles rooftop to commemorate the track’s release.
