Nikki Sixx reveals an Aerosmith album that had a huge impact on the group’s success

Motley crue bass player Nikki sixx selected Aerosmith‘s self-titled album as one of his five all-time favorite albums and said the album had a huge impact on the group’s worldwide success.

Having over $ 50 million in net worth, Nikki sixx rose to prominence around the world as the bassist of his co-founded heavy metal band Motley crue, which is a group that was first activated from 1981 to 2015, then announced their reunion in 2018. “Album Four For Me is Aerosmith’s first record”, Sixx said. “And the ‘Rocks’ from Aerosmith, ‘Toys in the Grenier’ and even ‘Get Your Wings’, those, even ‘Draw the Line’. They were all like huge albums to me.

“But when I got the first Aerosmith album, I heard this raw dirty garage band. It was like the amps were spitting and spitting, and the drums were in their pocket, and Steven Tyler’s approach on ‘One Way Street’ to ‘Make It’, to me it was like the moment that put up the rest of their careers. “

Sixx adds it was one of Aerosmith’s most important records

“One of my all-time favorite bands,” he says. “One of my biggest influences as a songwriter. I don’t think there is a bad song on this record.

“And when I was growing up, I listened to everything from T. Rex, to Black Sabbath, to ABBA, to ACDC, to Queens, and somehow, Cheap Trick got it all stuck in my brain.
