Earlier this year, Julien’s Auctions held a special sale to mark the 50th anniversary of the historic Beatles breakup. Among the highlights of the event, handwritten lyrics from the hit hit Hey jude sold for US $ 910,000, more than nine times its initial estimate.

There is an upcoming art book set dedicated exclusively to McCartney’s lyrics. Although it only contains reproductions of his legendary work, the price of $ 100 is much cheaper and has more content than the aforementioned auction.

The lyrics: from 1956 to the present day is divided into two volumes which feature 154 of McCartney’s greatest song lyrics – from his early days in Liverpool, the decade of recording with Wings, to his most recent solo career. More than a simple collection of texts, the book is full of photographs, paintings and unpublished illustrations of the legendary musician.

Posted by Liveright, the set is 962 pages long and includes an elegant green linen slipcase with minimal design lettering on the cover. The lyrics: from 1956 to the present day releases November 2 and is available at many online and physical bookstores, such as Amazon or Los Angeles’ Skylight Books.
