Six Screaming Chennai Halloween Buffets!

Halloween meals in town this year are quite the ‘shout’ – if you know what we mean. And this year, the chefs have gone the extra mile to prepare dishes that are both disgusting and delicious. Brain lasagna is a good example. We also stumbled upon a series of themed drinks as part of menus, including Goblin’s Blood, Dracula’s Kiss, and Black Magic Jello Shots. We hope this whets your appetite for our list of spooky brunch and dinner buffets in store this weekend.

Crows and cupcakes

With names like Mummy in Blood Pool (chicken meatballs in tomato sauce); Grilled crow parts (grilled chicken in red wine juice) and witch flounder intestine (grilled shrimp in cocktail sauce) — our curiosity is piqued. Frogs & fingers
This chilling buffet serves up a slew of plates straight out of a horror movie. Sip a glass of Goblin Blood while you chew on Decapitated Fingers (Hara Bara Fingers), Zombie Foot (Barbecue Tenderloin Meatloaf), and Tombstone couscous Salad. want something desi? No worries, there are also frog eggs Raitha in the mix! For dessert, look for Mouse Cheesecake, Harry’s Sorting Hats (chocolate doodh cones) and RIP Mousse. October 31. At the Six ‘O’ One. After the resounding success of their Squid Game theme last year, Dank is upping the ante with House of the Dragon, which is being talked about a lot this weekend. Watch out for tiki torches and house flags woven into the decor, as staff step out and don dashing capes and armour. Meanwhile, look for dragon eggs as part of a Halloween-themed weekend brunch and drinks like Blood & Fire and House of Targaryen. From October 28 to 30. From INR 1399 per person. 12 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Thirsty? Drink Witches Brew lemonade or drink a handful of occult Black Magic Jello shots from Dracula’s Bar. Follow with Zombie’s Brain Lasagna, Ghost Bagel Pizzas and Anytime Bone Apple Pie. October 30. For brunch at Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Chennai, Guindy. 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. INR 1,499++ per person.

Dead or alive?
Indulge in Ghost Buster Mousse, Devil’s Cheesecake and Pumpkin Spice Molasses Cake at this specially curated Halloween brunch at The Residency, Crowne Plaza Chennai Adyar Park. October 30. INR 2,250 all inclusive. If you’re looking for spirits instead, go for The Dead Margarita or Dr Razorback at Westminster, until October 30.

Damn it
Try this: Graveyard chicken enchiladas, spider web pizza and, for dessert, blood orange cake.
