A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder : A distant heir to a family fortune sets out to hasten the succession using a lot of charm…and a hint of murder.

Written by Robert L. Freedman and Steven Lutvak, the musical captures the best of Broadway’s Golden Age and won four Tony Awards, including Best Musical. Directed by Tony Award-winning WCT Professor Michele Pawk and edited by Dr. Lauri Young, A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder will dazzle audiences on November 17, 18, 19 and December 1, 2, and 3 at 8 p.m. and Nov. 19 and Dec. 3 and 4. at 14h

When Winnie holds her annual auction, murder and mayhem erupt with many twists and turns throughout the evening.

There will be raffles including a free singing lesson, a free estate planning consultation, a filmmaking lesson and a wine lesson including a lesson on making specialty cocktails with a writer published. A fundraiser for the theatre, 20% of profits will be donated to the Eden II program.

A little about the Grease Sing-A-Long:

Starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, this classic musical tells the story of an Australian who falls in love with a greaser one summer. When his family moves to the boy’s hometown and she enrolls in the same high school, they struggle to maintain their relationship.

SATURDAY: JCC WILL HOST THE GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION OF THE DOROTHY DELSON KUHN MUSIC INSTITUTE – 8 PM

The Joan & Alan Bernikow JCC of Staten Island will host the Golden Anniversary celebration of the Dorothy Delson Kuhn Music Institute. During the event, the JCC will honor Music Institute founders Dorothy Delson Kuhn and Bertha Mandel while celebrating 50 years of sharing the love of music with Staten Islanders of all ages.

Proceeds go to the Dorothy Delson Kuhn Music Institute Foundation, which provides scholarships to students in need. Throughout the celebration, guests will enjoy performances by students and alumni of the Institute of Music, as well as the Community Jazz Ensemble led by Ray Scro and Viva Voce Winds.

Viva Voce Winds, features Nicole Auriti, Dorothy Darlington, Dan Kelley, Barry Nudelman and Carolyn Clark, Community Jazz Ensemble under the direction of Ray Scro, current students and alumni of the Institute of Music.

Staten Island’s largest interfaith event, the Poor Man’s Dinner, brings Staten Islanders together in gratitude over a simple meal of bread and soup on the Monday before Thanksgiving.

All funds raised support Project Hospitality and its food ministry.

Keynote Speaker: Frank Siller, President of the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation honoring Stephen Siller who sacrificed his life to save others on September 11, 2001. The foundation supports and honors U.S. service members and first responders who continue to sacrifice life and limb for their country.

Guests are asked to bring potatoes, sweet potatoes, onions, apples, canned and packaged goods, and pumpkins for Thanksgiving baskets that will go to families on Staten Island.

Tickets are $75, $50 for seniors and $35 for students.
