Valleyfair will be launching an all-new, family-friendly Halloween attraction this fall, designed to celebrate the fall season without the big scares.
The new attraction, called Tricks and Treats, will run Friday through Sunday from September 30 to October 30. 30.
The immersive experience will allow visitors to visit four thematic “lands” spread throughout the park.
“Each of the four worlds we create for you – a wondering candy land, a pumpkin-spiced cozy autumnal land, a deliciously dark gothic land, and a gooey gooey land – offer something about this time of the world. Halloween year that everyone loves,” said Valleyfair general manager Raul Rehnborg.
A giant pumpkin will adorn the Midway Stage, creating a picturesque backdrop for daytime fall festivities.
“As the evening approaches, guests will be dazzled as the large, festive Jack o’ Lantern awakens to a fiery light, taking on an eerie soft glow,” Valleyfair explained in a press release. “From here, guests can choose their path as they embark on the festive lands of candy or one of the playful lands of towers, each with its own mystery and fun in store.”
Candy Land will include the lands of Everfall and Sweet Tooth Acres and Candy Land features Spooky Spiers and Ickyville.
“These playful zones will draw guests to a splat-tastic monster party and a bizarre speakeasy populated with gothic surprises,” Valleyfair’s announcement shared.
Friday hours are 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Saturdays 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Sundays 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with rides open during the Tricks and Treats festivities.
Guests will be asked to adhere to a new park policy, which prohibits bags of any kind larger than 6.5″ x 4.5″ x 2″ after 6 p.m. on Tricks and Treats nights. object of a search at the entrance to the park.
