Taylor Swift adds the title of doctor (honorary) to her already long resume as a global superstar, world-class artist and award-winning songwriter.
Swift is set to receive an honorary doctorate from New York University.
The university confirmed that on May 18, Swift would receive the prestigious honorary Doctor of Fine Arts degree at the school’s commencement ceremony at Yankee Stadium.
By VarietySwift will deliver remarks to the Class of 2022 and receive the official honor onsite.
In addition to her new doctorate, Swift is celebrating all future graduates with a new line of products.
Recalling one of his greatest hits, “22” off her Red album, Swift’s “I’m Feeling ’22” clothing line was unveiled on March 25.

As reported by VarietyNYU is planning a “double-headed” style ceremony to honor students who also graduated in 2020 and 2021 but whose traditional graduation ceremonies were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Disability rights advocate Judith Heumann will speak at the evening ceremony honoring the previously graduating classes. Huemann will also receive an honorary doctorate.
Huemann also has an impressive resume as a producer of The Heumann point of view, a podcast that features members of the disability community. Additionally, she was nominated for Best Documentary Oscar at the 2021 Oscars for Crip Camp: a revolution for people with disabilities. She is also the author of Being Huemann: Unrepentant Memory of a Disability Rights Activistreleased in 2020.
Other honorary doctorate recipients will include Lonnie Bunch III, Susan Hockfield, Jill Lepore and Félix Matos Rodriguez.
“I can’t overstate how thrilled I am to reunite in person with graduates, parents, faculty, and honorees for NYU’s Commencement.
