HATTIESBURG – Those hoping to secure a spot at the Southern Miss baseball super regional opener against Ole Miss will feel the sting in their wallets.
After Southern Miss announced a sold-out sale Friday morning, the cheapest seats available on used ticket website StubHub will set you back at least $670 starting Friday night.
Beyond that, fans can expect to pay four figures for tickets, with listings at $1,000, $1,150, and $1,200.
Standing-only options are much more affordable. These tickets start at $185.
The Golden Eagles have already hosted their in-state rivals at Pete Taylor Park once this season and set a new attendance record when 6,346 fans packed into the stadium with a reported capacity of 4,300.
With a trip to Omaha lined up in this super regional between Southern Miss and the Rebels, there’s no dwindling demand.
“College baseball has always been big in Mississippi State, but I think it’s gotten a lot bigger, in all honesty,” USM head coach Scott Berry said Thursday.
Looking to the rest of the weekend, Sunday tickets start at $300, while prizes for Monday’s third game start at $375 should a winner need to be decided.
