(MENAFN) On Saturday TEDPIX, the Iranian benchmark stock index of the Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE), rose 12,336 points to 1.305 million (the first day of the Iranian calendar week).
More than 5.315 billion securities worth 29,697 billion rials (approximately $ 102.403 million) were traded on the exchange. The first market index jumped 2,137 points and the second market index climbed 1,554 points.
TEDPIX lost 56,000 points (4.3%) to 1.293 million in the previous Iranian calendar week (ended Friday).
The widely followed indices last week were those of Mobarakeh Steel Corporation, Iran Khodro Corporation, Social Security Investment Corporation, National Copper Corporation and Barekat Pharmaceutical Group.
