NEW BREMEN – Lock One Community Arts has chosen “Unlock LOCA LIVE” as the theme for its 2022-23 performing arts season.
LOCA, a non-profit organization, was started in 2001 by three couples with the goal of bringing professional live stage performances to the West Central region of Ohio. The group exists thanks to the support of sponsors, season ticket holders, ticket sales and contributions from businesses and friends. All activities are governed by an all-volunteer board made up of a dedicated group of local individuals who generously give of their time and talents. Lock One’s support is essential to ensure the continuity of providing high quality art in the region.
All LOCA performances are presented in the intimate setting of the James F. Dicke Auditorium theater located inside New Bremen High School. The LOCA Board of Directors also works diligently each year to bring a variety of family-friendly performing arts productions to this region. The first show of the season scheduled for Sunday, October 9 at 3 p.m. is The McCartney Years. Hailed by original Beatles promoter Sid Bernstein as “the best on the stage”, The McCartney Years is a technically stunning and explosive live concert performance that performs the music of Paul McCartney spanning two decades, from the Beatles to the Wings. Songs included will be hits like “Hey Jude”, “Jet”, “Let It Be”, “Band On The Run”, “The Long and Winding Road”, “Live And Let Die”, “Lady Madonna” and more. others performed by a group that entertained audiences around the world. Tickets for this show sell out quickly with adults for $25 and students for $10.
On November 6 at 3 p.m., “Warbonds” takes audiences on a sentimental journey through a war that redefined the world. This multimedia living history cabaret is interspersed with letters from veterans and headlines from the era. LOCA plans to honor veterans of the area through various exhibits that day.
On Sunday, December 4 at 3 p.m., Six Appeal will perform its holiday show for the enjoyment of the public. Six Appeal is a world touring a cappella ensemble originally based in Minnesota. This internationally acclaimed band recently won the Moscow Spring A Cappella Festival Championship Grand Prize for the second year in a row. This show is a holiday staple.
After a winter hiatus, LOCA has scheduled The Texas Tenors for Sunday, March 12, 2023 at 3 p.m. On Sunday April 16, 2023 at 3 p.m., Jack Wright will deliver Neil Diamond’s Songs & Stories to close this season. .

LOCA is especially proud of its educational arm called Pinwheels Productions. Through this venture, specially selected live performances are provided free of charge to approximately 1,400K to 8 students from ten area schools. This is achieved through the generosity of local sponsors. Each year, on a rotating schedule, groups K through 8 are invited to the James F. Dicke Auditorium to watch a live, curriculum-appropriate educational performance.
